DECIPHER

MAGAZINE

MADE BY US. FOR US

Decipher is a movement that champions and celebrates Black women and non-binary creatives across the diaspora. Although the medium is a magazine form, Decipher is a message of collaboration, authenticity and expression of creativity. The magazine is a way to interpret, join forces with and showcase talent in tangible print that will last a lifetime. The current industry lacks diversity and has a negative gatekeeping culture that isolates a demographic of artists that bring new perspectives, vibrancy, and skill. Rather than appease the masses who choose to ignore, we have created a space made by us, for us.

CONCEPT

The Human anatomy is fascinating, from our beating hearts to the intricacy of our brain. Creatives may work from their heart, but their brain is a driving force for ideas, creative processes, and influences behind every decision. This intrigued me for a multitude of reasons and became the basis of The Anatomy Issue.

EDITORIAL TOUCHES

Released bi-annually the first issue is 100 pages of pure creativity across fields, leaving its mark on a forward-thinking tomorrow. Containing a variety of paperweights and textured sourced by GF Smith.
We hope to provide a experience through the touch of the pages, adding a human-considered touch.
