DECIPHER ~
Made By Us. For Us
Celebrate and inform the contributions of an underrepresented group

THE PROJECT
OVERVIEW ~
Decipher is a movement that champions and celebrates Black women and non-binary creatives across the diaspora.
Although the medium is a magazine form, Decipher is a message of collaboration, authenticity and expression of creativity. The magazine is a way to interpret, join forces with and showcase talent in tangible print that will last a lifetime. The current industry lacks diversity and has a negative gatekeeping culture that isolates a demographic of artists that bring new perspectives, vibrancy, and skill. Rather than appease the masses who choose to ignore, we have created a space made by us, for us.

ISSUE ZERO
THE CONCEPT ~
The Human anatomy is fascinating, from our beating hearts to the intricacy of our brain. Creatives may work from their heart, but their brain is a driving force for ideas, creative processes, and influences behind every decision. This intrigued me for a multitude of reasons and became the basis of The Anatomy Issue.
